Mr Mutts aka Uncle Martyn

Leader of the Pack and founder of Martyn’s Mutts, Martyn built the business on knowledge, experience and a welfare-first philosophy. Beyond the expertise, he is known to clients as a fun, approachable and loving handler who brings positivity to every walk and consultation. Whether it is guiding new rescues, managing group walks or coaching aspiring dog walkers, Martyn blends professionalism with a good dose of humour and heart.

CPO (Chief Progress Officer)

Martyn’s Mutt

Freddie is our Chief Progress Officer and living proof that patience pays off. He came to us through rescue with reactivity challenges, but with time, consistency and gentle introductions he has grown into a steady presence on full pack walks. He teaches new members van manners, polite waiting and the art of a relaxed mooch. Freddie reminds us every day that with the right support progress is always possible.

CTO (Chief Training Officer)

Martyn’s Mutt 2.0

Bernie is our Chief Training Officer, playing a key role as a ‘stooge’ dog as part of our Mutts Momentum course. His beagle nose rules his world. A natural explorer, he inspects every hedgerow, rabbit trail and patch of grass with forensic detail. Mischievous and full of charm, Bernie balances playful antics with moments of stubborn seriousness (especially on social media where his serious face is legendary). He is a lovable character who brings humour, joy and curiosity to the Pack every day.

A lifelong dog lover with three family dogs of his own: Bruno, Jess and Bobby, Julian’s quiet confidence makes him a trusted part of the Pack. Away from the Mooches, you’ll find him hiking, watching football (as a proud Newcastle United fan) or exploring new walking routes across the North-West.
